PEC Zwolle will travel to Amsterdam to take on Ajax Amsterdam for the Super Cup, which is the traditional curtain raiser to the Eredevisie season in Holland. With both teams looking to make a new start with new look teams, it will be very interesting to see how things pan out come Sunday.

This team had shocked Ajax back in April when they beat the Dutch giants 5-1. They will be looking to do more of the same when the two sides meet.

Ajax have made steady progress in their pre-season so far and have featured against some of the better teams in Europe. They started their pre-season with a 5-1 hammering of Wacker Inssbruck and were subsequently held to a 2-2 draw against AaB Aalborg.

There after they have beaten Achilles ’29 by 2-1, Real Sociedad 3-1 and Benfica 1-0. The latest victory against Benfica came away from home which means that this Ajax side are ready for the season and mean business.

PEC Zwolle: Ryan Thomas

The New Zealand winger will be the one man who is expected to play havoc on Ajax once more after his heroics in the KNVB Cup last season gave his team the Cup. The 19 year old youngster will be looking to produce a good showing when the teams take the pitch on Sunday.

Ajax Amsterdam: Viktor Fischer

The young Danish star will hope that this is the season when he establishes himself as one of the top talents in Europe. His name is sure to have featured in the scouting department of most top clubs in the region thanks to the raw talent that he possesses.
