Venue: Adams Park, Buckinghamshire, England
Kick-off time: 15:05 BST
Wycombe will welcome the in form Bury side at their home ground in an exciting fixture in the League Two. Bury will be looking to build on their good form they showed against Accrington Stanley.
Wycombe’s form: W-L-W-D-L
Wycombe’s good run continued until last match where they lost against a defiant Coventry City side.
Both the teams are joint 5th in the League Two table with just goal difference separating them. Peter Murphy and captain Paul Hayes were missed against City as they slumped to a narrow defeat against the spirited City side.
Bury FC’s form: L-W-D-W-W
Bury FC’s last game against Accrington Stanley was a strenuous affair for both the sides involved. Bury had to work hard for their victory and won in the end by a fine margin.
Coach David Flitcroft will be happy with what he’s seeing. The new additions, Danny Rose and Danny Mayor were on target for Bury. Flitcroft’s investment did pay dividends.
Wycombe Wanderers: Peter Murphy
Nominated for the League Two player of the month award, Murphy was not available for the Wanderers against their Coventry match. His influence was certainly missed as the Wanderers struggled to find a way past the City side.
With his availability, manager’s headache lessens and against Bury his experience will be useful.
Bury FC: Danny Rose
The diminutive striker was not the first choice transfer for Bury coach, Flitcroft. But Rose has been on fire after moving to Bury.
A slender framed striker but with great instinctive touch and finishing abilities he can light the League Two.
After a dull away game against York City, Wycombe will kick-start as a favourite at home against Bury. They start at 2.75 to win the game, while Bury are 2.55 to usurp their opposition. We may not see a lot of goals in this one though and so Boylesports’ 1.82 for less than 2.5 goals to be scored in the game is the pick here.
