Trinidad & Tobago v Guyana Live Streaming & Betting Preview

Date: July 24, 2014
Venue: Port of Spain, Trinidad
Start Time: 8 pm local (11 pm BST)

Trinidad & Tobago are be up against Guyana in the 11th match of the Caribbean Premier League 2014.

Trinidad & Tobago Form

The hosts have played three matches and won two of them to be perched at third in the points table. Another win here will push them to six points and will take them to at least the second spot in the ladder. And the team they will replace is their opponents from this match, Guyana.

They started off with a crushing win against Barbados in their opener, before the tied game against Guyana that they lost in the Super Over. They came back strongly with another crushing win over Antigua in their third encounter.

Guyana’s Form

Guyana had an excellent start to the competition, as they notched up a hat-trick of wins to start their campaign. This included a victory over Trinidad & Tobago at Providence, with the game going into the Super Over. Then they beat St. Lucia in their next match before going down to the defending champions Jamaica in their fourth.

Key Players in the match

The last time these two sides had played each other, there were four batsmen who got into their 30s but failed to carry on from there. Samuel Badree grabbed three wickets for Trinidad & Tobago, Fidel Edwards got two while there were a couple for Sunil Narine and Ronsford Beaton as well.

But the man who took the honours was Narine, with a super performance in the Super Over. After Guyana had scored 12 in that Super Over, Narine sent down a maiden to win it for his side.

Betting advice

Trinidad & Tobago will need to nullify Narine’s threat and if they are able to do that, they will be my favourite given the line-up they possess. Bet365 offers even money for the Trinidad win and at that price I’m happy to take them.

Since this is also the first match this tournament that’s being played at Port of Spain, I will refrain from putting my money on any other market for now – will need to have a look at how the pitch behaves before deciding one way or the other.
