A superb return last week helped largely by Crystal Palace’s win at home to Chelsea at odds of 9-1. We also managed winners in Man Utd, Liverpool, Everton and West Ham and gave us a return of 100 units. I did say that it’s this time of year where you start to see these kind of freak results and that value would be sure to pay sooner or later.
The return on investment for this season is now back over 5% and I aim to keep it that way! The updated spread sheet is here: Value Finder Spreadsheet (Prem)
Hoping for more of the same this weekend where there are even more big prices than last week. West Ham stand out to me because of the form they’re in and the fact that Liverpool‘s away record is nowhere near as good as their home record. The title is in Liverpool’s hand at the moment and I think they could get twitchy against a Hammer’s side who are sure to make it difficult.
Man City are most people’s favourites to win the Premier League but they will have been hoping for an easier fixture than Southampton whose English contingent has been on fire in recent weeks. The Saints ‘held’ city to a draw in the reverse fixture at Saint Mary’s but were in fact unlucky not to have taken all 3 points.
Chelsea are still in the hunt despite the crap that comes out of Jose Mourinho’s mouth. Stoke upset them at the Britannia earlier in the season and although I don’t see another upset for the blues this week, 14-1 is a massive price. It would be nice to see a choke from one of the title contenders!
I had a feeling Arsenal would be the underdogs for the game against Everton who have an excellent home record and although I agree with this, odds of 2-1 are slightly higher than I expected. I see slight value in the Gunners at the current prices.
Looking at the fixtures again I think this could be the toughest set of fixtures for making predictions to date. There are some standout value prices and as I’ve partially demonstrated I feel that you can make a case for a lot of the underdogs this week.
