Nottingham Forest continued their unbeaten run at home against Derby County this Sunday. Sitting on the top of the table ahead of Norwich and Wolves, Nottingham will look to win this game against Fulham.
Fulham, under Felix Magath, have not shown great promise. They sit in the relegation zone with just a single point from six matches. The situation at Craven Cottage is not that rosy either.
Nottingham Forest form: W-W-W-W-D
Against local rivals, Forest will be disappointed not to have taken all three points. The Rams were down to 10 men after Jake Buxton was shown a second yellow. A chance to create a healthy lead was missed by Forest, but against Fulham they have a chance to further the lead.
Fulham FC form: L-L-W-D-L
Fulham have turned miserable after dropping from the Premier League. Against Reading in the last match, Fulham started brightly but a few saved shots and last ditch tackles aside they could not muster anything. They were down to 10 men when forward Matt Smith was guilty of making a bad tackle and was handed a red card.
If Fulham do not get themselves sorted out they are surely facing another relegation, this time to the third division.
Nottingham Forest: Britt Assombalonga
The exciting young forward has been scoring some important goals for the Forest side. Along with Matt Fryat, he is another striker who can impact the game. A strong physical frame and good technique has been his asset. Expecting more form the young forward.
Fulham FC: Ross McCormack
Seasoned Scotland striker, McCormack joined Fulham this summer after a long stint with Leeds United. He hasn’t set the Craven Cottage on fire yet and will be under scrutiny in the next match. He has been a polarizing figure at every club he’s been and looks to be the same at Fulham.
He can miss simple chances, but score some beauties. Magath has persisted with him this season and looks to start against Forest.
Going by the League form, Forest will start favourites here, with even bet365 offering 1.75 for their win. It may not be a high-scoring one and less than +2.5 goals are expected in this one.
Back in form Brit Assombalonga to score at anytime at a cracking price of 2.3 with Betfair.
