Levante will go up against Getafe in the Spanish La Liga on Monday evening as both sides look to better their recent record in the top flight. Both teams are lingering in the bottom half of the table and a bad result might see them dragged into the relegation zone. While the home team are in 15th spot with 12 points from 13 games, the visitors are slightly better off in 13th place with 14 points.
Levante’s form: W-D-W-L-D
The hosts have won two of their last five games, drawing a couple of other games and losing another one. Their recent form have not been great with a 2-1 loss at Espanyol on November 29 followed by a 1-1 draw at Albacete on Friday.
Levante’s last win in the league had been a 2-1 win at home against Valencia on November 23. They had also won their game at home 2-1 against Almeria. The side had also managed to hold Sevilla to a 1-1 draw in an away game.
Getafe’s form: W-D-L-L-W
Getafe’s 3-0 win against Eibar on December 5 was a great result for a side which had experienced successive defeats in the league against Villarreal (2-1 away) and Athletic Bilbao (1-2). The visitors were absolutely gutted with the two results and it was great to see the side respond in the manner that they did.
Besides another win against Deportivo La Coruna 1-2 away from home, Getafe were part of the game against Elche which had ended in a stalemate.
Levante: 29 year old Spanish striker Victor will be key to the hopes of the home side in this upcoming game. He has scored important goals in the past couple of home games and he will be looking to be at his best in front of his own fans.
Getafe: With 2 goals in the game against Eibar on Friday, Pablo Sarabia is on top of his game and one would not bet against him scoring again on Monday night.
A home win (2.6 with bet365) is the most likely possibility. Levante have not lost at home in their last couple of games here and they won 2-1 on both the occasions. A 2-1 result for Levante is at 11.5 with BetVictor and well worth a punt at that price.
