To say that tomorrow Hull City have a big match is an understatement for a couple of reasons. One, It is their first ever home tie in European competition. Two, they are taking on Slovak First Football League runners-up Trencin, and the game has already been sold out.

The first leg ended 0-0, but Hull really should have taken a 1-0 back home as Tom Huddlestone saw his penalty kick saved and he hit the rebound off the crossbar. But he has already apologized, been forgiven, and now Steve Bruce’ men are extremely focused on Thursday.

Hull City’s Form

D-W-D-D

Hull’s pre-season was ok, as they played three friendlies against lower division teams in Egnland, won two and drew one. Last Thursday’s Europa League match was their first competitive match of the season, so they may not be as sharp as Trencin.

SK Trencin

W-L-W-D-L

Trencin have only lost two games since mid-April, and have picked up 9 out of 9 points possible for in the Slovakian league. But despite their excellent form, they had a big scare against Vojvodina in the previous round of the Europa League, as they won the first leg 4-0 and loss the 2nd 3-0. But they’ll put that behind them, and focus on their good form in the league.

Key Players

Hull: Robert Snodgrass

The summer signing impressed when coming on as a substitute in the first leg, and Steve Bruce said he will start both him and Tom Ince in this match. Snodgrass will be the key coordinator for Hull in their midfield.

Trencin: Moses Simon

I think that match will be determined by who can break down each other’s defense. For that, FK AS Trencin have Nigerian winger Moses Simon. The 19 year-old scored a hat trick in the first 40 minutes of the first leg against Vojvodina

Betting Advice

With Hull playing at home in front of a sell-out crowd, I think the motivation will be there for the Tigers to get the win.

Hull to win 2-1 in this and while there’s not much to be gained from Coral’s offer of 1.33 for their victory, you can look to gain £20 of free bets by signing up with Coral and can bet on more than 2.5 goals to be scored in the game which is at 1.9.
