Finland v Romania Betting Preview

Date: October 14, 2014
Venue: Olympiastadion, Helsinki, Finland.
Kick off time: 19:45 hrs BST.

Finland will take on Romania on 14th October 2014 in a third round match in group F of Euro 2016 qualifier to be played at the beautiful 42, 062 capacity Olympic stadium, Helsinki, Finland from 1945 BST.

Finland form: D-L-W-W-D

Finland will play their second home match in four days hopping to do better than get a point that they managed against Greece. Finland had won their first match away to Faroe Islands 1-3. Though not the perfect start, still things could have been worse. If they manage a win against Romania, it will put their qualification back on track.

Romania form: D-W-L-W-D

With identical points as Finland from two games Romania would fancy their chances as they have played better quality opposition. With easier games to follow they should go for the kill against Finland knowing a draw would suit them just fine.

Key Players

Finland: Roman Eremenko.

Roman Eremenko, the 27 year old creative midfielder who also plays as a winger is the main attacking threat from the Finland side. With him in full flow, the Finish side would fancy a constant threat against the opposition defence.

Romania: Gabriel Torje.

Young Gabriel Torje is a traditional winger, capable of operating on both the flanks. Romania should give this youngster a free role to raid the Finland back line. With his speed and trickery the Finland rear guard is sure to feel the heat. Without an international goal in all of 2014, this would be the perfect match for him to score.

Betting Advice

A draw (3.0 with BetVictor) could be suitable for both sides, despite the Romanians going in as favourites, with bet365 offering 2.5. Over 2.5 goals at 2.6 (bet365).
