11.37 Breeders’ Cup Turf (Grade 1) (3yo+) (Turf)
12.35 Breeders’ Cup Classic (Grade 1) (3yo+) (Dirt)

This is the big day and we have 9 Grade 1 races culminating with the Breeders Cup Classic which is the biggest all age race in the USA.

Okay well lets start with the 7.00 which is for the Juvenile Fillies on the Dirt and since it was first run in 1984 it has only been won by the home team due to the Europeans not really targeting it. It’s usually won by one of the top american trainers and this year will probably be no different. Going into this years renewal the favourite Moonshine Memories as the form in the book and will take all the beating.

1st Moonshine Memories 2nd Alluring Star 3rd Heavenly Love

The 2nd race the 7.37 which is the Turf Sprint and was first run in 2008 and as always been won by the home team. It will probably be won by them again although the Europeans do have a strong hand in this and we’ll probably class Lady Aurelia as one of ours, even though she belongs to the home team and I think she will prevail.

1st Lady Aurelia 2nd Pure Sensation 3rd Disco Partner

The 3rd race the 8.14 the fillies and mares dirt sprint which is run over the strange distance of 7 furlongs and since it was first run in 2007 has always been won by the home team. It is another race which the Europeans don’t target and this is the one race I think could throw up a surprise winner because Mike Smith is on the favourite which should really win is known to make the odd cock up.

1st Carina Mia 2nd Unique Bella 3rd Finest City

The 4th race is the Filly & Mare Turf and since it was first run in 1999 the Europeans have done quite well in this and has been won by the great Ouija Board twice and also an old favourite, the Henry Cecil trained Midday. This year we have a strong hand led by last years winner Queens Trust who is trained by the joint winning most trainer Sir Michael Stoute (with Chad Brown) but personally I don’t fancy her at all this year.

1st Rhododendron 2nd Wuheida 3rd Lady Eli

The 5th race the Breeders Cup Sprint which we have only won once with Sheikh Albadou although we should have also won with Dayjur back in the past (he jumped a shadow which cost him the race). Only the home team have runners here and this will be probably won by last years winner Defrong.

1st Defrong 2nd Roy H 3rd Whitmore

The 6th race is the Turf Mile and it will be very disappointing if we can’t take the honours here. It’s a race we have won in the past on several occasions with the likes of Breeders Cup legends Miesque and possibly the greatest Breeders Cup legend Goldikova. we have a very strong hand in this with four of the first five in the betting.

1st Roly Poly 2nd Ribchester 3rd Zelzal

The 7th race is the Juvenile (Dirt) which as been dominated by the home team but we have won it in the past with Arazi, Johannesburg and Wilko and we are solely represented by Middle Park and Dewhurst winner U S Navy Flag. I would love to see him win but a place is the best I can see him getting.
