Venue: Stade Roi Baudouin, Bruxelles, Belgium
Kick off time: 19:45 hrs BST

Belgium will be looking to make home advantage count as they go head to head against Andorra in their upcoming Euro 2016 qualifier. Belgium topped their group in the World Cup earlier this year before being beaten by eventual runners up Argentina by a solitary goal in the round of 16.

Belgium’s form: W-L-W-W-W

Belgium had beaten Australia in a friendly match on September 4 in the first international break of the season. The Red Devils had beaten a well-oiled Socceroos outfit 2-0 courtesy of goals from Dries Mertens and Axel Witsel in a match which was played in Liege.

Their World Cup campaign in June this year had resulted in three straight wins over Russia, Korean Republic, and USA in the group stage. The side had only gone down to finalists Argentina by a solitary strike from Gonzalo Higuain in the 8th minute of the game.

Andorra’s form: L-L-L-L-L

Andorra are correctly termed as minnows in this qualifying group. The side are winless in their last 5 matches, the first of which was played in October last year.

The side have been beaten by Romania and Hungary last year by a combined score of 6-0. This year, Andorra have gone down to Moldova by 3 goals, Indonesia by a solitary goal, and against Wales on September 9. The match was played on a pitch which was certainly not the best that one would come across in Europe. Gareth Bale scored both goals for Wales as the visitors claimed a 2-1 win.

Key Players

Belgium: Eden Hazard

After a slow start to the season in the Premier League, Belgium’s best player has finally started to show some glimpses of what he is capable of in the past few matches. His mazy run against Arsenal saw him fouled in the penalty box on the weekend. He converted the penalty to give Chelsea the lead on the occasion. Hazard is expected to play a starring role for his national team on Friday.

Andorra: Ildefonso Solo Lima

The 34 year old defender is the one man who has scored the only goal that Andorra have scored against any opponent in the past year. While it is unlikely that he will get on the score-sheet against Belgium, Lima will need to be at his imperious best in defence if the side are to keep the likes of Hazard and Lukaku at bay.

Betting Advice

This won’t be anything other than a big win for the hosts, with Hazard starting at 1.57 (bet365) to score a goal. Romelu Lukaku is 1.5 to be an anytime scorer, while it’s 1.33 for more than 3.5 goals to be scored in the game.
