As October 28th approaches it is another box office event as Anthony Joshua MBE takes on Cameroon Born challenger Carlos Takem at the Principality stadium in Cardiff. Anthony Joshua will be defending his IBF, WBA and International Boxing Organization World Heavyweight titles. As can be expected Joshua will be going into the bout as the heavy favourite which is shown in the Betfair fixed odds on Boxing. They have made Joshua 1/50 with Takam on the other hand being the 13/1 second favourite which just shows the incredibly difficult task ahead of him.
Takam has had an extensive amateur career and has won multiple American titles which is a stark contrast to Joshua’s short amateur career in which he won Gold at the Olympic Games. Takam further backs the experience advantage over AJ with the fact he has 39 professional fights compared to Joshua’s 19.
Considering his title as multiple World Champion it is quite incredible that AJ has only actually fought in 55 professional rounds which just shows the devastating power which has enabled for him to finish many of his opponents in the first round. Check out the infographic below that covers the stats on each fighter ahead of this epic match up.
