  • I can't look away from the favourite Fingerontheswitch for this handicap hurdle from Doncaster at a best price of 7/2.
  • Firstly he's only a 6 year old and massively unexposed at this 3 mile trip. He's stepped up to 3 miles once in rules in a hot maiden at Worcester which he won by 1 3/4 lengths from Ballydene. Ballydene won his next two races easily then got within a length of unbeaten Albert Bartlett favourite Barters Hill! the closest any horse has ever got to him. Now Ballydene has obviously improved a lot since that maiden run but it's more than eye catching nonetheless.
  • Worcester is also a very similar to the track today in that they're both left handed galloping flat tracks.
  • Since then the selection ran very well over too short a distance at Cheltenham placing 4th of 24. The winner that day UknowwhatImeanHarry has won all 3 races since then.
  • He then took a chance in the soft which he clearly didn't get on with at Cheltenham but it does mean he gets in off the same mark of 124. He should face good ground today, which feels weird to say, and If he shows anything like that form at Worcester he's a better horse than these off that mark.
  • In his point to pointing days he ran a huge staying on 2nd behind another at the top of the market for the Albert Bartlett Shantou Village.
  • For whatever reason most of Neil Mullholland's yard seem to run much better on good ground so he should come into his own around now. Even with all the soft and heavy going he's had 2 winners and 3 2nds in his last 10 runners.
