Tip Reasons
- I hope I am not jinxing my my own selection here by selecting it for TOTD!
- It has drifted a little in the market but I think that is because of the amount of money that is coming for Ballard Down. I am quite confident of Hardington at least placing though and it is only serving to make this selection even more value in my eyes.
- I tipped this last time out at a massive 50/1 and I wasn't disappointed when he finished 4th after a troubled passage. He was backed into 10/1 that day. That was at Wolverhampton over 7f but todays extra furlong should show him in an even better light. He has experience on his side now and that is reflected in the price but I still think it is value. Fergus Sweeney and Alan King are in great form. He has a decent draw today too in no.1
- He is half brother to two 118 rated grade 2 9f winners in the US and a 110 rated 6f winner. Dam is unraced half sister to a listed winner so is very well bred. He is sired by Fastnet Rock who's progeny have an 11.3% strike rate on the AW.
Comments
The negative is this is its 3rd run and how good a handicap mark do they want after this race
