Twat of a day 16/1 12/1 11/2 2nds just can't get that winning consistency : (

Just constantly hit long losing runs fucking useless even more annoying when they're with low prices and also well backed

Terrible draw bias by the looks of it but would have only been closer with good draw would not have won

The Epsom Derby form took another knock there with Hazapour getting beat maybe the 3yo middle distance colts not that good
Superted said on 19 Jul 18 at 19:27

I'd like to recomend these 3 out of the market movers.
2.10 Chepstow:Andalusite
3.30 Ham: Au Fear Ciuin
5.05 Ham:Dutch Coed
btw Thanks to all who tipped up at Lingfield yesterday, it might have been small field dross but I got 2 lines on the placepot using most of your tips, paid £351, happy days.

Sorry Brian, Laptops playing up, could you delete one of theses, posted twice. Cheers.
Pinpoint said on 19 Jul 18 at 10:24

I've just got back from Lingfield today, and can concur its was dross, a mixed meeting with 2,3 and 4 runner races on Turf, and complete dross on the AW, wouldnt have gone if I hadnt promise the neighbour I'd take him. Its exactly what you stay, a waste of time and unnecessary.
Pinpoint said on 18 Jul 18 at 18:03

Comment On :

I agree far too much racing the purpose of the AW was for when meetings were called off but now its just normal racing plus and a lot of horses are getting trained on the course down the field one day and winning the next like Rainbow Jazz which as just won the 4.10
Superted said on 18 Jul 18 at 16:18

Ted the modern day problem,is to many horses particularly bad ones, to many owners and trainers, to many meetings, to many summer evening meetings, to many races at each meeting (most run eight races), therefore not enough jockey of quality to accommodate, does get a little better in the winter.

Why I back Morris I don't know terrible jockey my own fault I knew he was riding but you're pretty limited nowadays not many top flight jockeys
Superted said on 18 Jul 18 at 15:18

Comment On :

The deductions smash you for about 2/3 of this Ron a bit of a nightmare winner
Superted said on 18 Jul 18 at 14:53

Comment On :

Haha, nice one Pinpoint I'm sure you'll do well either way mate. Have a good one!
Brian said on 18 Jul 18 at 11:55

Comment On :

Sorry Ron it changed at the exact time of posting and we want the site to display a realistic price that followers got on at. Hope you understand.

If anyone can show me a slip that had this price on at 9.30 r after I'll happily let it stand of course.
Brian said on 18 Jul 18 at 11:53

Comment On :

That`s told me then I`ll be sure to post after Taylors tips come out in future.

Posted a genuine tip, at a genuine price, that`s been written off! No value in this bet whatsoever now would not recommend anyone taking this short price.
Ron E said on 18 Jul 18 at 11:49

Comment On :

Thanks for confirming Ron. Yep, it's fastest finger first sometimes! No-one will have got on at 21 after this had been posted though so I'll have to amend it. Odds wre 13 so I reckon it will have been about 8s for 6 places?
Brian said on 18 Jul 18 at 11:24

Comment On :

I'm going to Lingfield today, so no time to look at the market movers (just as well I hear you say). I didnt fancy anything strongly at Lingfield, so going with my fellow tipsters tips, just done a £32 placepot so I'll be expecting you to get all of it right, lol.
Pinpoint said on 18 Jul 18 at 11:24

Brian Prior to 9.30am Black Truffle was 21.00 and 14/1 ewe 6 places. The tip was placed at 9.30 check time of posting.
Fine time margins! It`s quite obvious while posting H.Taylor has tipped Black Truffle then carved up by the markets within seconds or fractions of a seconds in me posting it!?

Ron E said on 18 Jul 18 at 10:38

Comment On :

Not sure this can be right Ron? Was 13s without the extra places I think. I got 6.5 to 6 places at 1/5 of the odds.
Brian said on 18 Jul 18 at 09:46

Comment On :

Yep, looked certain to win. Ne'er mind!

Might have well won this if the young apprentice hadn't dropped his whip at the vital moment. C'est la vie.
Pinpoint said on 17 Jul 18 at 15:56

Comment On :

Of all the luck the day you dont put them up on the board, you have a couple of good winners, and a 20/1 shot too. The irony of it.
Pinpoint said on 17 Jul 18 at 14:57

Comment On :

Nice one mate. Both have shortedned a bit more as have a few others. Got to be a few more winners in there today I reckon. GL
Brian said on 17 Jul 18 at 14:30

Comment On :

LOL. Trust the first one to land and at this price. Anyone on? I thought not.
Brian said on 17 Jul 18 at 14:29

Comment On :

At 12.30 I would be interested in 2 of the market movers.
3.50 Chelmsford: Agueroo
8.50 Worcester: Miss Spent
I'll have a £3 ew double as a fun bet, it might get off to a good start you, you never know.
Pinpoint said on 17 Jul 18 at 12:39

Awesome you're on it already! Many thanks

I will do a trial on the market movers that are in h'caps, using a filter devised by a raceform author called Patrick Kilgannon from 30 years ago (nothing to do with speed), that is quick and simple (but very solid), so wont take me long, that might help with the profitability.
Pinpoint said on 17 Jul 18 at 10:57

Comment On :

Thanks Pinpoint, I was hoping that's where you could help :D

I will be looking at them at lot more closely after they've run to see which other factors were good signals but if anyone has any ideas please let me know!
Brian said on 17 Jul 18 at 10:56

Comment On :

Brian I think your right about the market movers, They could be a good starting point for a profitable methodolgy. However what filters are best used? as they will need validation of some form to sort out the solid bets from the connections wishful dreams, but the basic premise is sound.
Pinpoint said on 17 Jul 18 at 10:44

Comment On :

This is a non runner now but these are back on the board (!) and back to an old methodology that was working better especially in the summer months.

I'm not convinced by the long term profitability of them so they won't be tips per se and not counted in the montly totals but they can be useful as a starting point or used for further filtering. Inspired by Pinpoint's blog, I've realised that a model itself doesn't have to show a positive long term ROI overall to be useful and that data analysis and intuition should be used together.

I've written a blog about that and how I plan to attack the football betting markets next season: Between the lines

No KT, I have used a few different ones over the years, but always come back to Top Speed as I use the Racing Post database and its easy and quick to look back, you also get to see the LTO raw so you can see how much the figure has been weight adjusted. Nice couple of winners for you today mate WD.
Pinpoint said on 16 Jul 18 at 21:34

PP do you create your own speed ratings ?

Nice winner great ride but the Stewards should bring the rest of the jockeys in this race and give them bans course punters on beaten horses must be furious
Superted said on 15 Jul 18 at 15:06

Five favs across the card won.
The jockey on Midnight Queen in this a total bag of shit may have give this a race if it stayed up but I would consider going back to hurdles with that
