Kick-off time: 18:00 BST
Dynamo Kiev will be facing Rio Ave in a very important Europa League Group J encounter that will see them get a complete hold over their destiny to reach the knockout stages of the Europa League as group winners.
Rio Ave, meanwhile, will have nothing to lose having just one point from the four group games. Rio Ave will be a sure threat for the likes of the Ukrainians.
Dynamo Kiev form: W-W-W-D-W
Dynamo Kiev is in fine form both domestically and in Europe, which sees them top in both. Currently having nine points from possibly 12, Kiev are in pole position to get to the next round without any hiccups.
With Steaua Bucuresti breathing down their neck, just two points off them, Kiev will be wary of the fact that if they lose there will be problems.
Rio Ave form: L-D-W-W-W
The Portuguese side have been abysmal in their Europa League campaign; domestically they are still in the hunt for next season’s ticket to Europa League. Thought their goals statistics match Aalborg, their issues with converting the chances have cost them a lot.
Rio Ave does not have a star-studded line-up, but there is always a chance that team that have nothing to lose always spring a surprise.
Dynamo Kiev: Andriy Yarmolenko
The winger-turned-attacking midfielder has attracted many eyeballs with his displays for the Ukraine side. His vision and goal scoring ability has come to the fore this season making him a vital part of the side’s setup.
Rio Ave: Ahmed Hassan Koka
The young Egyptian hotshot has been Rio’s best attacker so far, contributing six goals this season. The Kiev defence needs to be aware of his movement and presence in the box to nullify him. Along with Diego Lopes, both of them have carried the Rio attacking threat.
The game is being played at Dynamo’s home and the Ukrainian side start off as huge favourites for this one (1.33 at bet365). I think Kiev will win but less than 2.5 goals in the game is still a good bet at 2.4 with William Hill.
