The Europa League Group E fixture between Dinamo Moscow and Panathinaikos will be a big opportunity for Dinamo to make it five wins in five group matches if they defeat Panathinaikos. Both teams are at the extreme end of the table,
Moscow at the top with a 100% win record and Panathinaikos with just a solitary point.
Dinamo Moscow form: L-L-W-W-W
Dinamo Moscow’s impressive 100% win record is of importance because of the fact that they are in a group having teams like PSV Eindhoven and Panathinaikos that are not exactly pushovers. Their domestic form does cause some concern amongst their fans, falling 10 points off the leaders, Zenit St. Petersburg.
Dinamo have a great chance to officially seal their entry in the Europa League knockout stage if they win against Panathinaikos.
Panathinaikos form: L-W-W-L-W
Panathinaikos team isn’t really great as the team which qualified for Champions League few seasons ago, but they are certainly capable of shocking any opponent. This campaign has been shockingly dismal, but in the last few matches, they can redeem themselves.
Against Dinamo Moscow, the task cut out for them is huge but with no pressure to qualify the Greeks can play a good game.
Dinamo Moscow: Mathieu Valbuena
Many people raised their eyebrows when Valbuena chose to play for a Russian team instead of the elite European teams where he was in demand. He’s still getting used to the Russian setup and it won’t be much time till he hits form. A danger man anytime of the season for any team.
Panathinaikos: Danijel Pranjic
The Croatian midfielder is the mainstay in the Greek team and has been a journeyman of sorts. Being the most experienced player in the squad, his job in the team is to get the ball and recycle the possession effectively. His form does go missing sometimes but the sense of calm he brings to the team is important.
Dinamo Moscow will almost certainly get the maximum points from this fixture and it is no surprise William Hill offer just 1.61 for their win. If you don’t like backing short prices though, then the draw is probably the value selection at a best price of 4.2 with BetVictor.
