Bet Butler Review

Bet Butler ReviewWhen we first heard about Bet Butler we were quite excited as in theory it is exactly the type of website we want to let punters know about on BettingTools. The idea behind the UK based site being that the ’Bet Butler’ serves you up the best available odds on your chosen betting selection with them taking a 3% commission on any winning bets. We all know that to give ourselves the best possible chance of profiting from betting we should shop around for the best price but this can be a nightmare managing so many different accounts and transferring money from one to another.

Best Odds from over 60 different Bookmakers

Bet Butler aim to solve this problem by acting as a broker between you and over 60 different bookmakers and allowing you the punter to place all your bets on all the major sports at best odds from one easy to use account and reducing the need to shop around. Of course, you could bet with all the Bookmakers individually yourself but this is extremely time-consuming and difficult to manage and with Bet Butler you get the added bonus of the bookies not knowing who is trying to place the bet. So there’s less chance of them limiting your stakes.

Nice easy to use site with all major sports covered

We at Betting Tools signed up and to begin with the service looked promising. The site is clean, well laid out and easy to use and allows you to check the odds in your slip are still the best before you commit your money. Football is the dominant sport on the site and has the most markets listed but it also caters for most other major sports including Horse Racing, Tennis, golf, cricket and rugby. We believe there needs to be even more variety than this and we did have some problems accessing the tennis markets.

Bet Butler could be another tool to add to the punter weaponry

If done properly Bet Butler could replace the need from you ever having an account with every other Bookmaker. However, if there are Bookmakers that you like to use regularly you’d still be better served betting with them direct and not paying the 3% commission. For example, on some of the markets we looked at one of our favourite Bookmakers Pinnacle Sports were the best price and it would make more sense to bet with them especially as their limits are high anyway. For the multitude of other Bookmakers though who like to compete by randomly offer stand out best price here and there and who are not one you regularly use, Bet Butler is potentially the ideal solution and could provide the punter with more weaponry to achieve the aim of beating the bookmakers.

VIP gold membership with personal trader available for high rollers

If you are ‘high roller’ and you make big bets you may be eligible for the VIP area. There are a number of exclusive gold memberships available on an annual basis, with customers getting several benefits as part of the service, including your own designated personal trader and this is a promising part of the Bet Butler service.

A number of times the odds on Bet Butler didn’t quite tally with the best odds we found on Oddschecker and the Bookmakers it claims to use. This could be because Bet Butler still don’t quite have a deal with all Bookmakers or that the Bookies only plan to allow very small amounts at the best price and it’s not worth Bet Butler advertising this. We would like to see a little more transparency as to exactly why this is the case though because if you are paying commission on your bets you want to have faith that you are always getting the best odds.

Another downside for racing fans is that Bet Butler don’t seem to offer bets odds guaranteed. This seems a bit unfair since many of the bookies they are matching you with will honour this. We’ve also heard that bets are taking a long time to be settled and so there a lot of improvements needed here.

If you do come across any best odds discrepancies like we have or want to know more about how the site lists exchange based odds then you can always give Bet Butler a call. The customer support staff are available between 09:00 and 18:00 Monday to Saturday, 10:00 – 18:00 Sunday, with customers able to either send an email or make a phone call and they will get through in seconds. Or you can speak to the traders who are available 09:00 – 22:00 Monday to Saturday and on Sunday 09:00 to 18:00.

Risk free £25 bet

Bet Butler offer customers a no-risk first bet up to £25. If your first bet (at odds over 1.5 and at least £10) loses, they will give you a free bet of equal amount up to a maximum of £25. If your selection loses just email enquiries@betbutler.co.uk and they’ll credit your account with you free bet. We did this and can confirm that our free bet was allocated within hours.

In summary, we think that Bet Butler is a sound idea but various improvements are needed. Punters are not going to put up with bets not being settled quickly and the jury is out as to how regularly you are getting the best odds available which is the whole idea of the site. Hopefully improvements will happen in time and a Bet Butler account will be well worth having.

We currently suggest taking advantage of the risk free bet and only betting with them if the price they offer you after the 3% commission is deducted is still better than those odds of your regular Bookmakers that you have money in. You can use our odds after commission calculator to help work this out.

Despite saying they offer best odds and compare all the major companies, they consistently offer lower than every single price on oddschecker.com. They also take a stupid amount of time to settle bets, my last 3 have taken 30 mins, 1hr and 8 hours, and were only settled when i messaged them to ask for my money

Thanks Al, yes I have seen a lot of prices less than what’s on oddschecker. I don’t think they have a deal with Pinnacle but it doesn’t explain why they are sometimes less than others :/

It didn’t take that long to settle my bets but it wasn’t instant like most bookies/exchanges.

Just found out they don’t offer best odds guaranteed on the horses either. I will update the review with this information.

Come on Bet Butler sort it out!

I recently signed up with Bet Butler and was really keen to get going as I thought I had found the answer to my problems with bookie restriction. How wrong I was!

Only once out of about 12 attempted bets have I got the price shown on their website. I am sure they do not have an agreement in place with Stan James as numerous times I have clicked through to SJ via oddschecker and found I can get a better price than with BB. Of course I can’t put the bet on with SJ though as they have closed me down!!

I did ring BB but gave up in the end as the chap on the phone seemed to think that BB’s ‘super duper’ software had simply updated the price quicker than anywhere else. This despite the fact that I was sat looking at the SJ website and hitting refresh!!

Thanks for your comment Dave. I agree there is something not quite right here and I also agree that their software is definitely not quicker! It’s a bit disappointing to be honest because in theory it’s a great idea.

Perhaps someone from Bet Butler could explain on here or look into the issues we have experienced.

No problem for leaving my initial comment. I think the truth of the matter is simply that they don’t have accounts with some of the most important bookmakers – especially for punters looking for trading opportunities.

With that in mind, why would SJ and others agree to sign up with BB ? In my opinion they wouldn’t and haven’t!

I think I will be withdrawing my cash from BB shortly as it looks like being a total waste being there!

Having read the recent comments was a bit surprised. Have used Bet Butler for a few months and yes admittedly their odds are occasionally not quite as good as oddschecker but having consulted their customer service department they tell me that this is because unlike the bookies website, their servers aren’t quite big enough yet to keep up with instant price changes so sometimes they might fall 50p behind someone. That said, With PaddyPower at 8.0 and SkyBet at 8.5 on Wigan to win the FA Cup I was thrilled to get 10.0 on them. Sure, the commission is a tad irritating but I guess these guys do have to make money.

I’d describe it as a work in progress. New website design helped greatly and am hoping they can deal with any server issues soon and be completely up to dates with prices as the service they offer (not having to have lots of accounts to get best odds) is massively helpful.

The worse experience I have ever had, can’t believe I have to wait 5 days to get my money out, and have to email them to get it. Won’t be using them again in a hurry.

Hi, I have used BetButler for a while now and have seen many ‘quirks’. I also was confused to see a bet I thought had won, being shown as a loss. I let it passs as I assumed I was wrong , until it happened again and I knew I was not wrong!
They seem to mis report bets and that is a big problem. Yes I did get the money back but c’mon, is this right?
So anyway, I tried to get my money back and am still trying to withdraw some of my winnings.
They have now taken 13 days and every day they promise it will be in my bank that day. It never is, they never reply as they promise to and hery, this is not at all good.
I have quite a balance built up but I daren’t try to withdraw it, I will match play it out to betfair as my safest option I reckon.
The concept is good, I wanted them to do well but I fear they are plagued with issues.
On top of everything, they ever read their emails properly and I always have to reply at least once to reiterate points I made that have been overlooked.

I have not had a good experience of BB over the past month I have constantly been offered far less prices on wagrs I wanted to place or even did not want to place but just inputted the wagers to see if the odds would be correct which they were not eg. they run promotions where you get a freebet if you bet on correct scorline in a soccer match if the match ends in a draw you get the freebet when I selected any scoreline the odds quoted were always far less then bookmakers and even exchanges eg. wanted to back 2-2 correct score BB offered 13 when 15 was available with bookmaker and 15.5 was available with exchanges, same thing on other correct scorelines.also I put through for a withdrawal 2 weeks ago yes 14days and still nothing iv been onto them numerous times and its still not in my acc I use skrill and it only takes a few hours at most when withdrawaing from my bookmakers

Had high hopes of Bet Butler as bookies such as Ladbrokes and Hills wont even allow me a bet on un-named favourites. Rarely seem to get a quote anywhere near the price available direct (if you are lucky enough to be allowed a bet with the mickey mouse bookies) Lets face it the bookies want us betting on casino games where skill is not an issue.

Did anyone of you managed to get his money? I’m in the same situation where they keep saying money will be with you even in next 10 minutes and so on… Im sick of it already.

Withdrawal is lengthy process at BB, however I could live with it. The problem started when I started winning and my bets were restricted to maximum £200 winning. Spoke to the trading desk to clarify the situation (as you know they advertise that BB loves winners), they complained that my bets are usually matched to other 20-30 bets and they cannot hedge it. Well, BB is just another bookmaker. Made my final withdrawal and closing account. Waste of time and space.

Withdrawal took 8 days – don’t bother contacting to ask where it is. I phoned once a day, and every day was told “it was processed yesterday”

Also, had money in casino wallet, they wouldnt let me transfer it out to my main wallet to withdraw, and claimed they couldnt transfer or withdraw it for me. Offered no explanation or remedy. My money is still in there – no idea how to get it back

Started using this site and found it easy to navigate and place bets and although they were a bit slow to settle some bets i thought it was ok. That was until i tried to change my card details as the card i had registered was no longer in use. I could not find a link to do this and so emailed them to ask how i do it and they asked me to email both sides of the card i was using, both sides of my new card and my driving license or passport. Needless to say i thought this was a ridiculous request (not least for security reasons) as i managed to do this on other sites immediatley without any hassle. I no longer use BB because of this

Disgrace, Dont reply to emails – even their complaint address (which is required to have a licence under the GC) – Nobody answrs the customer phoneline, no livechat – They dont honour promotions and by the sounds of it you cant get your money out – Will no doubt go out of business soon as a disgrace

They rarely give the best price, usually just under. They have now restricted me also. So they don’t like winners then. Funny their motto is, You win, We win. They have definitely turned into bookmakers, laying the bets themselves and claiming commission. Wonder if they have the right gambling bookmakers licence to do this?

Have been waiting 12 days for withdrawal, still nothing, when I eventually get someone on the phone all I get is, sorry I can’t tell you anything, there’s nothing on the system, they are promising to sort it but doing nothing to rectify situation, have just spoke to the same girl as I did yesterday and sh has done nothing in the last 24hrs !
Will never use them again, it is a shame cause I was very happy with the site apart from this !

Same problem for poor old me. lost my money even though i have won they have not paid out and no free bet. What a bunch of ——

Avoid otherwise you lose big time, like i have. I have reported them to oddschecker and gaming commission who says they will reply to me ‘within ten days’. Another set of slackers.

I recently opened an account following one of these tipsters on Facebook and BB were giving some of the best odds and markets for the football betting I was trying to do. At start it all went well will easy account set up and deposit as you would expect. I won some and lost some as I always do however on the 18th March I had a 6.98 acca and it came in which returned 564.56 which I was over the moon about as this was my biggest win to date. 5.58 for commission but I could live with that being in profit by quite a sum. I tried to withdraw on 22nd March when I finally got home to access the account and as per the website I waited my 5 days allotted time but nothing. I phoned them up and got a supervisor called Krishan who said I would have to provide some documentation to prove who I was so going with it I provided as much as I could give and there was a further delay as the docs were not all quite as they required but finally after many phone calls and emails sometimes without replies I was told on 4th April that all was fine and the withdraw would be made and to please allow a further 5 working days. Today 12th April I have had to phone them again as I have received a letter asking me to access my account and provide a promo code to prove that I am over the age of 18 and that the account would be frozen until I could provide this. A very frustrated me did the required while on the phone to them and I requested that the payment if not made to me today is in my account by Monday or else.

Has any one got any advice about the next steps or am I simply stuck in the cycle where I am unlikely to see my money?

By the sound of it this is happening to other people!!

This company should be avoided at all costs!!! I will be closing my account as soon as I receive my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My story is exactly same as steve’s.
Tried to take my first deposit out on the 26th march and still waiting for payment.
    Promo-code letters,emails.
These reviews need putting on Facebook.

I have to say I am very disappointed to read the comments on Bet Butler as I thought this would be an ideal service for somebody like me. Needless to say I will not be parting with any of my cash. Even putting the difficulties of getting money out of them to one side, I could not afford the time overheads of dealing with them. If they are reading this I would suggest they are losing a lot of business by being sloppy, unless of course they are a fly by night outfit, out for a quick buck, in which case they would not care. I would suggest that they are not but need to get their act together urgently. – Paul

Bet Butler seems to be a scam. They don’t pay any more. And they don’t answer emails.

Hope I can get my money out, but I highly doubt it 🙁

    BetButler definitely was a con

Can’t believe how long some sites were still promoting them even though people weren’t getting withdrawals from the start of the year.

Looks like the director is going to get taken to court. Good. Hope he goes down for it.
