Wrexham v Torquay

Wrexham v Torquay

Date: January 31st, 2015
Venue: Racecourse, Wrexham
Kick-off time: 15:00 BST

Match Odds with Bet365 -> Wrexham(2.3)  Draw(3.6)  Torquay(2.3)

Key Stats and Facts

Wrexham:
— Didn’t register a shot on target at Dover Athletic in their last game in a 2-0 loss
— Not lost in their last 5 league meetings at home to Torquay
— Have lost 3 of their last 5 league games
— Only won 2 of their last 15 league games

Torquay:
— Lost 2-1 vs Altrincham in their last game
— Are 9 positions better off this season (14th) than at the same point last season (23rd)
— Not won in their last 6 league games
— Have drawn 3 of their last 5 league games

Betting Advice

Wrexham have lost their last 2, conceding 6 without reply and the fact that they didn’t have a shot on target against Dover is pretty worrying. Torquay don’t have a great away record though and backing either team at just over evens isn’t really appealing.

The Gulls have drawn 3 of their last 5 and odds of 3.6 for them to drawn again against goals shy Wrexham the bets value bet in this one. Some bookies are as low as 3.2 on the draw so make sure you place your bet with Bet365.

Wycombe v Portsmouth

Wycombe v Portsmouth

Date: January 31st, 2015
Venue: Adams Park, Coventry
Kick-off time: 15:00 BST

Match Odds with Bet365 -> Wycombe(1.83)  Draw(3.5)  Portsmouth(4.33)

Key Stats and Facts

Wycombe:
— Drew 0-0 at Mansfield in their last game
— Took 20 more games to reach current total of 52 points last season
— Have kept 4 clean sheets in their last 5 league matches
— Have drawn 5 of their last 7 league games

Portsmouth:
— Least goals scored away from home in League Two (6)
— Lost 2-1 at home to Southend last Saturday
— Only the 4th ever league meeting between these two sides
— Not won in their last 8 league games

Betting Advice

Wycombe have only lost 3 matches all season. They have drawn a lot of matches of late but are a decent price for the win against Portsmouth who have only won 1 away match all season.

Back Wycombe to beat Portsmouth at 1.91 with Coral.

Crawley v Preston

Crawley v Preston

Date: January 31st, 2015
Venue: Broadfield Stadium, Crawley
Kick-off time: 15:00 BST

Match Odds with Bet365 -> Crawley(5.0)  Draw(4.0)  Preston(1.62)

Key Stats and Facts

Crawley Town:
— Most goals conceded in League One (46)
— Lost 3-0 vs Chesterfield last Tuesday
— Have lost 6 of their last 8 league games
— Have drawn 7 of their last 13 league games

Preston:
— Drew 1-1 against Yeovil in their last match
— Are in the same position in the league as at the same point last season
— Have drawn 3 of their last 5 league games
— Only lost 1 of their last 9 league games

Betting Advice

Odds of 1.62 seem ridiculous for an away side in league 1 but you really can’t see Crawley getting anything against 4th placed Preston. Preston have failed to turn draws into wins of late but they should be able to notch at least a couple against Crawley.

Back Preston -1 at 2.88 with Paddy Power.

Coventry v Rochdale

Coventry v Rochdale

Date: January 31st, 2015
Venue: Ricoh Arena, Coventry
Kick-off time: 15:00 BST

Match Odds with Bet365 -> Coventry(2.38)  Draw(3.3)  Rochdale(2.9)

Key Stats and Facts

Coventry:
— Drew 0-0 at Yeovil 5 days ago
— Are 9 places lower in league than at the same point last season (18th vs 9th)
— Have kept 6 clean sheets in their last 10 league matches
— Only won 1 of their last 7 league games

Rochdale:
— Most goals scored away from home in League One (28)
— Edged past Crawley Town last time out and won the game 4-1
— Only the 2nd ever league meeting between these two sides
— Not kept a clean sheet in 10 league matches

Betting Advice

Rochdale are back up to 6th after putting an end to a poor spell of form with wins against Bradford and Crawley and are a good price to beat 18th placed Coventry. the Sky Blues have only scored 1 goal in their last 3 macthes and are unlikely to keep Rochdale at bay on Saturday.

Chesterfield v Doncaster

Chesterfield v Doncaster

Date: January 31st, 2015
Venue: Proact Stadium, Chesterfield
Kick-off time: 15:00 BST

Match Odds with Bet365 -> Chesterfield(2.1)  Draw(3.4)  Doncaster(3.4)

Key Stats and Facts

Chesterfield:
— Outplayed 24th-placed-placed Crawley Town last time out and ran out 3-0 winners
— Took 5 fewer games to reach current total of 38 points last season
— Have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 5 league matches
— Have won 4 of their last 6 league games

Doncaster:
— Couldn’t find a way to get past Notts County and drew 0-0 in their last match
— Have 14 more points than at the same stage last season (35 vs 21)
— Not lost in their last 5 league meetings with Chesterfield
— Have kept 5 clean sheets in their last 6 league matches

Betting Advice

Chesterfield’s only defeat in their last 6 came against league leader Swindon. Doncaster are in good form themselves and are unbeaten in their last 6. Doncaster have a good defensive record conceding only 29 in 25 and have kept 5 clean sheets in their last 6. Donny will be happy with a point in this one and will play not to lose, so don’t expect many goals.

Bradford v Colchester

Bradford v Colchester

Date: January 31st, 2015
Venue: Colchester Community Stadium, Colchester
Kick-off time: 15:00 BST

Match Odds with Bet365 -> Bradford(1.8)  Draw(3.5)  Colchester(4.5)

Key Stats

Bradford:
— Went down 1-0 away at 23rd-placed Yeovil last time out
— Have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 6 league matches
— Have won 4 of their last 7 league games
— Only lost 2 of their last 9 league games

Colchester:
— Were outplayed at home last time out against Leyton Orient but won the game 2-0
— Have kept 4 clean sheets in their last 6 league matches
— Have lost 7 of their last 11 league games
— Only drawn 1 of their last 11 league games

Best Bet

Bradford will be expecting to beat Colchester to keep their chances of a playoff place alive but it may not be as easy as the Bantams expect. Colchester have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks and have only lost 5 of their 13 matches away from home.

I think Bradford who slipped up at Yeovil last week, may come out on top in this one eventually but only by a narrow margin.

Back Colchester +1.5 at 1.32 with Bet365.

Barnsley v Port Vale

Barnsley v Port Vale

Date: January 31st, 2015
Venue: Oakwell, Barnsley
Kick-off time: 15:00 BST

Match Odds with Bet365 -> Barnsley(2.4)  Draw(3.3)  Port Vale(2.88)

Key Stats

Barnsley:
— Lost 2-0 vs Milton Keynes Dons in their last game
— Have lost 4 of their last 5 league games when meeting Port Vale
— Have lost 6 of their last 9 league games
— Not drawn in their last 6 league games

Port Vale:
— Lost 1-0 at home to Crewe last Saturday
— Not kept a clean sheet in 10 league matches
— Not drawn in their last 8 league games
— Have lost 3 of their last 5 league games

Best Bet

Barnsley have only won 3 of their last 10 matches and they were all against sides in the relegation zone. Port Vale’s away form is not great but this match is even at the very least and Bransley are too short at 2.4. Take the 2/1 on offer with BetVictor for the best value on the match odds.

Back Port Vale at 3.0 with BetVictor.

Reading v Sheffield Wednesday

Reading v Sheffield Wednesday

Date: January 31st, 2015
Venue: Madejski Satdium, Reading
Kick-off time: 15:00 GMT

Match Odds with Bet365 -> Reading(2.0)  Draw(3.5)  Sheff Wed(3.6)

Key Stats and Facts

Reading:
— Had 7 shots on target at Millwall last Tuesday but couldn’t find the net in a 0-0 draw
— Are 12 places lower in league than at the same point last season (18th vs 6th)
— Have drawn 3 of their last 5 league games
— Only won 1 of their last 8 league games

Sheffield Weds:
— Couldn’t find a way past Birmingham last Tuesday in a 0-0 draw
— Are 8 positions better off this season (9th) than at the same point last season (17th)
— Have lost 4 of their last 5 league games when playing at The Madjeski Stadium
— Have kept 4 clean sheets in their last 5 league matches

Betting Advice

I can’t understand why reading are priced so low for this one. Sheffield Wednesday have only lost 2 away from home all season (13 matches) and only Middlesbrough have conceded fewer goals than the owls overall.

Reading’s form has not been great with only 2 wins in the last 10 and I certainly won’t be touching them at even money. The value is no doubt with Sheffield Wednesday in this one but they are also the league’s lowest scorers and odds of 3.5 on the draw are decent enough.

Nottingham Forest v Millwall

Nottingham Forest v Millwall

Date: January 31st, 2015
Venue: City Ground, Nottingham
Kick-off time: 15:00 GMT

Match Odds with Bet365 -> Nottm Forest(1.75)  Draw(3.75)  Millwall(4.5)

Key Stats and Facts

Nottm Forest:
— Lost 3-2 vs Fulham in their previous game
— Are 7 places lower in league than at the same point last season (12th vs 5th)
— Have lost 4 of their last 5 league games
— Not kept a clean sheet in 6 league matches

Millwall:
— Held on to a 0-0 draw at home to Reading in their last game
— Not kept a clean sheet in their last 11 league meetings at The City Ground
— Have lost 5 of their last 6 league games

Betting Advice

Forest are low on confidence and in a poor spell of form but looking at their fixtures more closely, it’s evident that they’ve ha a tough run of fixtures. Birmingham, Ipswich and Middlebrough are all top sides in good form and Forest did edge past Derby and were also unlucky to lose against Fulham.

Millwall avoided a 6th straight defeat in a rather lackluster performance against Reading but with the Forest faithful behind them, the Reds should get back to winning ways on Saturday.

Ipswich v Wigan

Ipswich v Wigan

Date: January 31st, 2015
Venue: Portman Road, Ipswich
Kick-off time: 15:00 GMT

Match Odds with Bet365 -> Ipswich(1.75)  Draw(3.5)  Wigan(4.75)

Key Stats and Facts

Ipswich:
— Least goals conceded at home in Championship (8)
— Went down 3-2 away at 19th-placed Brighton 8 days ago
— Have 11 more points than at the same stage last season (50 vs 39)
— Have won 9 of their last 13 league games

Wigan:
— Lost 1-0 at home to Huddersfield last Saturday
— Are 13 places lower in league than at the same point last season (23rd vs 10th)
— Have lost 7 of their last 9 league games
— Only won 1 of their last 13 league games

Betting Advice

Ipswich are the top performing side at home in the Championship. Their 3-2 defeat away at Brighton last week was a surprise but their previous form was good and so expect normal service to resume on Saturday against Wigan who have lost 7 of their last 10, winning only 1.
